Black Hills riding, Sturgis, Crazy Horse and new roads east

July 11th So today we are off to Sturgis, we went riding around to check it out, and stopped at one eyed Jacks for some beers and a lunch snack, and of course it was about 100 degrees out all day.

Next stop was Oyster Bar and casino in Deadwood for our free beer for paying to park, lol. After a few beers and nice conversation we went walking around people watching, was pretty busy on the streets, trike rally.

But we stopped into the Oyster Bay Bar and casino. Yeah I know Oyster bay South Dakota? We had some more Adult beverages and decided that we needed to get some food so we would not all off the bike. We wanted to go to a place that we were at in 2015 during Sturgis bike rally, we started looking around. It was right next to the place The Nugget Saloon. I had a very good steak at this place and a fun time for sure.

July 12th Crazy Horse day, I have been looking forward to this day. When we were talking about maybe doing this 2 month ride, this was on my list of things to do. We stopped by there during Sturgis in 2015 but it was crowded then and we wanted to go to the Devils Tower.

This time we did the whole 9 yards and checked it all out. We even took the bus ride that takes you to the base of the mountain well close enough but far enough away that there is no way you’re going to get hurt from falling rocks.

So off to Mom’s in Brookings South Dakota, I hope the weather is cooler. I am ready for some night riding, damn the deer lol. Well we got a good days run in, there was a storm in our way, a big one. So we stopped at a hotel and took some rest

July 13th we headed out early in the morning we rode all day, was a very nice day. Not hot and some clouds to make it bearable today, I kept seeing signs for Al’s Oasis so you know we had to check this place out. We stopped for gas and Lunch it is in Oacoma SD. Was a cute looking place, made to look like an old western town.

So I decided to find a new route since we had been on HWY 90 already a few times and I saw a back HWY to get us some new scenery, we headed up this HWY 50 to HWY 34 and found this overlook park of this town. Called Barger Centennial Park
