The next day’s trip was to Ocean Shores Washington, we were just going to ride over for the day and come back to her daughter’s house, but I fell in Love with the location. Was a cool little town with Restaurants and Bars scattered all over the place. We stopped to eat at the Porthole Pub, which I must say had some very delicious seafood. We sat at the bar to talk to the Bartenders to see what there was to do around the area. We then continued the ride North along the coastline, I was looking for a place to pull over to check out the beaches.

This is a panoramic looking from the water back at where my bike is at. Beautiful place.

We decided to stay the night and check out the Town. The ocean view from our room LOL.

The next day there was a sawdust and sand festival; there were at least 10 people competing and selling carvings, was very neat to see.

Ok on the way back to her Daughters house, issue with the new 2018 Ultra Classic Limited. We were cruising along at 70 and the bike started lurching like I was pulling the clutch in and out. I put it in fifth gear and it was fine no issues, put it back in sixth and same thing happened, sigh….. So fifth gear don’t fail me now, we made it to her daughters house so I wait till the morning, there is a shop about 15 miles away, I will take it there.
Destination Silverdale Washington, I call them and they tell me that they will squeeze me in and check the bike out. This is Saturday morning; I sit around for a while and decide to just have Sheila come pick me up that there is nothing I can do there anyways.
They call me and tell me that if they open it up and they have to order parts that it could be 8 to 10 days until they get parts for my bike. I found this very disturbing that I am being told this. They then ask me if I want them to work on my bike. I was very frustrated now because, I brought them my bike to fix it, why are they asking me this. So out of my frustration I said wait till Monday, which at this point they said they were closed Sunday and Monday. “I needed a drink at this point, lol” I said fine leave it till Tuesday so I could call Harley CORP office and talk to them.
Called them Monday and they stated that they had a record of my issue and that the parts for my bike would be shipped out overnight and that it would not take 8 to 10 days to parts for it.
We rented a car and left for Phoenix Sunday Morning, I drove over night so that Sheila could visit with her daughter down there. I am glad we had a car for this trip 116 degree’s down there, wow crazy hot temps.
So Tuesday I call the shop and tell them to fix my bike asap, Destination Silverdale tells me to cancel my vacation Fly home and they will call me when it is ready, I bit my tongue and said thank you. Wow is all I could say to myself.
Shorten the story up some I got a call when we were driving back on Friday from Destination Silverdale, she said I don’t know who you know or talked to but your parts came in and your bike will be done today. LOL. She was genuinely shocked. This is the Service manager. Wow, talked to a few other people there and they were very unhappy with this Harley dealer.
So I picked my bike up they were supposed to do the 10K service and change the oils. I get back to Sheila’s Daughters house and I called the shop up and asked if they did the 10K service and change the oil, she said oops we missed that. I had to go back and get the oil and stuff done. I get my bike back and there were oily hand prints all over it. I left a very nice Google review for this place.
So we start out to Missouri and ride 740 miles or so and spend the night, I get up and check the fluids. Transmission has no fluid on the stick, none. Yellowstone checked it out and drained the oil not metal shavings there was just about a quart in it, so a quart low, they filled it up and we finished our journey to Salem Missouri
